Dr. Beck-Uhl grew up in Southern California, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in 1985. She then continued her studies at the UCLA School of Dentistry, and graduated in 1989. She came to Goleta shortly after graduation, and has been practicing dentistry at her current location since 1992. Her passion in dentistry is building relationships with patients, and making them feel comfortable, so they are not afraid of dental care.
Dr. Beck-Uhl is a Past President of the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society. She has been on their Board of Directors for the last 10 years. Her current elected position is on the Board of Component Representatives, where she represents the Santa Barbara and Ventura County Dentists to the California Dental Association.
She is an active member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the American College of Dentists. She is also a Delegate to the California Dental Association and to the American Dental Association. As a delegate, she travels to the annual House of Delegates meeting in Sacramento every Fall, and to the US city that hosts the ADA House of Delegates. The delegates collaborate with each other to make dentistry and insurance better and safer for patients and dentists. Delegates propose and vote on advocacy measures which are brought to the California Legislature and the US Legislature.
Dr. Beck-Uhl belongs to the Santa Barbara Dental Study Group, and keeps up to date with Continuing Education courses to be able to provide the most advanced care possible.
Dr. Beck-Uhl is also a Sustainer in the Junior League of Santa Barbara. She is active in her church, is married, and has a grown daughter.
Our Office Team
Our highly trained and experienced team consists of two Dental Hygienists, a Chairside Dental Assistant, and a Front Office Manager to help with your complete dental needs. We also train student interns from UCSB who are interested in becoming dentists.
Our hygienists use their skills and expertise in prevention of gum disease with an emphasis on patient education, to help our patients maintain optimal oral health.
